Summer is finally here and Brits plan to make the best of it with a study by Lambrini finding that a quarter of people are planning on spending approx £108 buying gadgets and grub for their garden grills. With another quarter set to splash out £300 whilst 4% are even planning to part with £600. The total bill will reach £3.3bn, with a third of Brits planning a series of five more barbecues over the rest of the summer season.
The Met Office says the weather improvement is thanks to the jet stream returning to its normal position, north of the UK and could spell an end to the torrential downpours we have been experiencing recently.
Ovenclean Chief Executive, Tim Harris, recommends booking early to guarantee a clean barbecue ahead of the summer season, "With the weather hotting up after months of rain, we are anticipating a sudden rush from customers wanting to get their barbecues cleaned. It is likely that many customers, who would normally have their grill cleaned before barbecue season and ahead of the May bank holidays will have delayed the task due to the poor weather.
Tim believes that many of these customers will have put their barbecues away at the end of last summer without a thorough clean.
"Barbecue cleaning, even at the best of times, is an arduous task. But after a season of BBQs and a winter of storage, it can become especially laborious. Ovenclean BBQ cleaning specialists are able to tackle all ranges of makes and models to ensure you have a clean barbeque that is ready, hygienic and safe for the summer ahead."
